This week: When We Are Weak
“Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2 Cor. 12:7-10 (NIV)
Thinking Through It All
Today we talked about God’s strength and our weakness. I’d love to discuss the following in the comments section below:
* Are you in a weak place? How is God providing strength for you?
* Are you able to “delight in weaknesses” or are you (like me) still on the journey?
* How can we be praying for you?
(You can post prayer requests below or send your request in here)
